You know those moments when you really have to pinch yourself?
I am having one right now.
Because at this very moment, my lovelies, I am writing a review for…. wait for it…. BROWNIES.
Let’s be grateful my daughter wasn’t there to lick the bowl….
… although she does her mother proud.
Yes. Gower Cottage Brownies. Probably one of my favourite things on the planet.
This was delivered to me today:
Don’t mind if I do…
They will soooooo not last long in this house. The thing is, I don’t have much to say about them. It’s already been said. A sneaky peak at theirwebsite and you’ll see what I mean:
“The best brownies we ever tasted.”
BBC Food Magazine
“They’re so good, they almost eat themselves.”
The Sunday Times (although I’m not 100% sure what they are saying here)
“Brownies should not send grown ups into a frenzy, but this is what happened when we received our delivery.”
Kate, Supplier of Magical Brownies and All Round Great Person
As you can see, all the good quotes have been taken. So I’ll just say that I know brownies. I adore brownies. I make brownies. Brownies are my friends. We understand each other.
And these are incredible. I first came across them at the Real Food Festival back in May, and have been dreaming of them ever since.
Clearly, I am very excited because I have a box of these amazing brownies. But the real kicker is this: if you are in the UK, you can order someone a box of brownies and they will receive them the very next day. Not only that, but they will be beautifully packaged with your personalised message. Just go to www.gowercottagebrownies.com. You can get them with walnuts or hazelnuts, or you could go nut-free. They also have gluten free and dairy free brownies.
Friend’s birthday? Send them a box of brownies.
Forgot your friend’s birthday? Send them a box of brownies.
Feel like doing something nice for no particular reason? Send me a box of brownies. Oh, sorry, did I just say “me??” Oops! Typo there. Obviously I mean, ahem, send “them” brownies. Der.
A gift that’s edible and means you avoid the Post Office? Brilliant.
One lucky, lucky, lucky reader will win a box of Gower Cottage Brownies delivered to their door.
For obvious reasons, this giveaway is only open to those in the UK – sorry!! It couldn’t be easier to enter:
1. Follow this blog if you’re not already following.
2. Leave a comment below detailing how I can contact you.
The winner will be announced on 10 September. Good luck.
